Game of Inches
The Dolphins lost a heart breaker to the noble Redskins last Sunday. It was truly a game of inches. We missed by inches on a couple of important fourth downs and defensive stop. Regardless, the mighty Dolphins played hard for the entire game and really enjoyed an opportunity to play a close game to the end. Jack amazed everyone with his fantastic two rushing touchdowns and K pup added another TD to his resume. K pup was even able to pull up his pants while he ran for his touchdown! Drew B. had a big catch in the game and QB Trey had a fantastic game.
The Redskins must have been scouting one of our previous games because they came after Keegan with a vengeance. However, Keegan still gained some very important yards for us. John snapped the ball like a pro and Drew S and Conner both almost came up with some big plays. Our D held tough on some important plays. Ryan made a touchdown saving tackle at the end that kept us in the game! Ramsey was an awesome flag magnet as usual and True and David made great tackles while holding strong on the end...which is probably the toughest position to play on defense! Quinn got plenty of action on the nose this time as the Redskins ran many of their plays up the middle. Caleb had a solid game at linebacker and safety and had some great tackles. Drew B, Trey, Jack, and Keegan also played D and helped us out tremendously.
In the end, the Dolphins were six points behind on the scoreboard, but a million points ahead in being champions for life! We have faced some really great teams with extremely talented players. Some of these teams are even undefeated. But we will pick these boys any and every time to be on our team! Go Dolphins!
