Here We Go Again
The 2011 Life CHAMPS season is upon us and this year looks to be bigger and better than ever before. Building on the success of last year, we are continuing our efforts to teach character and sportsmanship through competitive football.
Once again our Junior and Senior Tackle divisions will play on 100-yard turf fields. These leagues have become more and more competitive and we are supporting this move by our coaches and players. We are giving them an opportunity to play on the finest facilities the state has to offer.
We will continue to play Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Flag as well as Sophomore Tackle games at Fellowship Field.
Our season will start a couple weeks later (mid-September). Because of our ability to play under the lights at Quigley-Cox, Pulaski Academy and War Memorial, we can allow our kids and coaches the opportunity to get a few more weeks of practice under their belts and really get ready before the season starts.
Each team will continue to have its own team website designed and managed by DNT Media, the same team who built the Telly Award winning Life CHAMPS website. Each team site can have stories, photos, calendars, schedules, and rosters. In addition, each page will have automatically updated standings and scores from previous games.
"We took a big step forward last year and this year we're going to jump ahead again." said Life CHAMPS Director Ben Fairies. "We're doing things that no one youth sports organization in the country is doing and based on the phone calls we get, other communities are starting to take notice." Last year was a ton of hard work and fun, and this year promises to be even better."
